No challange I will not change lane or sort of. Look the the way he lane change so close to the red taxi.. With this kind of risk taking, be prepared to have higher chance of getting into accident. Even if he is not in wrong, but don't know whether he would be happy to waste time and energy to settle insurance claim. Be it right or wrong, it is best to not to have accident. In order to reduce the chance of getting into accident, just don't drive the way like this BMW does.. ↡ Advertisement

Ya, with this type of die die must cut in even if there is only 1 or 2 car length with some speed. The chances of getting into accident is increased exponentially. Why take the risk to get into accident and then later headache on insurance claim and make ownself not happy? Stupid right? Sometimes don't know what these people are thinking.. When the BMW is fully into the lane, insurance most likely view it as the taxi driver at fault. Taxi driver may report BMW inconsiderate driving to TP and maybe BMW driver gets a fine and demerit points. That's about the only recourse. BMW driver got zero anticipation skill... end up the lane he changed to was slower than the lane he was in... typical driver who thinks the right lane is the fastest lane...

There are many drivers out there who once get into expressway must chiong immediately to the right lane. This BMW driver seems to be one of those kind and he has the mentality that when he signal other drivers must give way. Spoilt kid I guess.

I'm quite happy got these kind of drivers around, because usually I get a clear run on the left lane thanks to these drivers and look into my rear view mirror and see them all getting stuck on the right lane.. 1

1fast1 Supersonic January 21, 2020 Share January 21, 2020 (edited) Singapore expressway "discipline": Lane 1 (rightmost): for self-entitled road-hogging twats that just merged onto the expressway. Lane 1.5 (between lanes 1 and 2): for lane-splitting, speeding, weaving, hell bikers from boleh land. Lane(s) 2 (and 3): for heavy vehicle usage. If there are two lanes, they are meant for heavy vehicles to "race" one another alongside at 50 km/h for ten minutes or more. Lane 4 (leftmost) : exit and fast lane. I wonder when our TP is going to update our basic theory syllabus? 😂 Edited January 21, 2020 by Turboflat4 1

Even before the taxi could brake sufficiently, the vehicles in front of the cam car had a hard stop. The taxi could not stop in time. Reminds me of times when I dare not filter in front of other vehicles when I see the lights in front turn red. Otherwise the vehicle behind me (after I filter) may not have enough distance to brake and I end up causing an accident. I've had my share of vehicles cutting into my lane (with signalling/without signalling) requiring me to step on my brakes (lightly/firmly or hard) in order not to collide with the vehicle in front. I know what the insurance companies view rear ending but the BMW closed the gap not he taxi who didn't have enough time to slow and open it up again. Hope this BMW driver keep repeat the same thing he does and keep get into accident.. Then one day insurance company find this BMW is a risky driver and do not want to insure him even though every accident is other party fault. Like that see whether he still want to drive like this or not..

For sure he/she will not get to drive this CNY as most WS closed or fully booked leow.... unless he/she continue to drive with dented bumper. For the taxi driver, returned to the company and get another one to pry his trade... 1
