Jamesc Hypersonic May 3, 2020 Share May 3, 2020 Yup they all seem to accelerate into the bend. Then scared its too fast and press brake in the middle of the turn and pull wheel to sharply to the left. The back wheels slide out and then then they over compensate by pulling the wheel to opposite direction and lose control. Made worse by the wet weather over the last few days and maybe balding tyres as they seem to be older cars like the older Vios and Wish. Also CB so fewer cars and they also chiong. Last time maybe too many cars so they take this bend at slower speed and nothing happen so now they over confident. ↡ Advertisement

Press brake in the middle of the turn will shift the car weight balance to the front. This will test the bite of front tyre. And then, turn steering to the left. Wouldn't that break tyre traction? 1
Jamesc Hypersonic May 3, 2020 Share May 3, 2020 All the drivers that crash there can blame CB. They can say if not for CB then won't crash. Normally too many cars how to chiong and crash? CB lah now so few cars so go a "bit" fast only and this happens. We all know lousy driver all got excuse one so they can add this one to their list and use it. This one no need to pay copy right.
Jamesc Hypersonic May 3, 2020 Share May 3, 2020 All the cars that crash there seem to be older cars. Maybe don't have ESC? If newer cars then have ESC then maybe the ESC would have brake the back wheel to stop the tail from sliding out and prevent the crash.

Throttle has to be very smooth in slippery condition. Then they brake somemore turn some more end up lose friction angle at the front, lose traction at the end, car rotates and all 4 wheels at sea.

It's the only safe way to scrub speed mid corner.
Gunzy 4th Gear May 3, 2020 Share May 3, 2020 This strip could be causing problem when driven over at high speed (>110km/h) especially when wet...

A RWD one will be able to power slide thru safely.

Cause the strips are more slippery in the wet, plus usually they are also slightly depressed thus unsettling the balance of the car in a bend. And when one goes are a higher speed, the unskilled will panic and slam the brakes and we know the end result.
Mkl22 Twincharged May 4, 2020 Share May 4, 2020 Just to mention, the slip road to join KPE from ECP( city) has a bump in the road due to ground subsistence right after the start of the left bend. Go at 60kmh or higher and you can feel your rear end shift out. I travel there frequently, but wonder why no one has crashed yet! Haha
Phluvcat 6th Gear May 4, 2020 Share May 4, 2020 (edited) Public service announcement - Jln Buroh towards West Coast Highway direction just after coming down the bridge over Pandan River, 3rd lane huge pothole can probably fit a whole 17-incher inside when laid flat. Be careful. That said, roads nowadays got sucky maintenance and patching works, especially now - lack of maintenance.
