Before the recent upgrade, I could search for texts within a thread, so that I can find more info about the topic I'm interested, before I post.

This feature, is not available in this new forum layout already?

The search function on the main page is now fully functional, and it can be used to search for a particular word / or texts in individual post, in the forum, blog or marketplace (select which you want by clicking on the down arrow beside the search icon (magnifying glass)

 

The search results would look like this.

Let us know if you encounter any difficulty.

Cannot choose the page number you want to go directly, have to 'next' or 'prev' page by page - very inefficient!

You can go to the specific page you want, by just clicking on the 'Page X of XXX' (shown in the red box below). You can choose to enter the page number in the text box provided, or using the up/down arrow.

The same function is now available on mobile phone mode as well.

within the thread, can we search for a text? Eg, search for "Rim" in the forester 2015 thread.

previous forum tool had this feature, and i find it immensly useful.

searching for "rim" for the whole japanese car forum is not useful since there is more noise, unless I include tag search which I'm sure not many tend to tag their post properly.

I will try to work with my IT and see how we can introduce this feature back. This is a good suggestion. Sometimes, I will use it too.

I tested the number of points avail per day  still about 150 for me ... so I think it still follow the old system

All the different reaction emoticons have the same weightage in points? 

Smiley = 1 point?
