Now it's revealed biological parents killed 2 yr old daughter. But i saw another report saying a foetus was also found in a pot. So 2 victims? Man... that particular hdb unit will have a hard time selling off. Murdered their own child 5 years ago and sealed the pot tightly. Only recently the pot was discovered and opened. So rotten until it smell so strong. The child should be 7 or 8 years old if she's alive. Poor girl! Kind of surprise that they would actually kill their own child. Most likely did it under the influence of drugs....wat a waste of life. No details yet, but i don't think anyone can understand why would any parents do this to their kid. The couple had brushes with the law, and have other kids. It was reported that the women has 7 children, and at least one other marriage. Broken dysfunctional family... hopefully the other children - who are reportedly under stable alternative care - can grow up well and be normal people that will not follow the footsteps of their parents... Many questions unanswered indeed about the case, and SPF will have to answer the question of why were the remains not discovered previously when they raided the house for drug offences - surely should have searched thoroughly for evidence. From what was mentioned - that the wedding was at a mosque - it seems like the family is Malay. Hope the govt and the community/support group can do more to help those Malay families in need or at risk. They do have a higher rate of issues arising from growing up in broken/dysfunctional families and given the exposure/experience/upbringing, have a high chance of vicious cycle repeating itself. It was not mentioned how this friend came to possess this information. The parents then allegedly placed the body in a metal pot, which was in turn placed inside a box. The box was allegedly wrapped in cling film, which was then placed in a corner of the flat. The friend claimed that this was how the odour was masked for more than five years, despite the lack of refrigeration. Volunteer discovered the corpse The friend also claimed that the body was discovered when a volunteer visited the flat to clean up the place. The volunteer was allegedly a friend of the male accused’s family, and was asked to help take care of the accused’s brother, who is a person of intellectual disabilities. The volunteer had apparently opened the box, and fled the unit after seeing that it contained a corpse. Brother thought pot contained edible meat The friend further claimed that the male accused’s brother, who is a person of intellectual disabilities, had thought that the pot contained edible meat. The brother had allegedly switched on the fire to cook the meat, causing the foul odour to leak outside the flat. Upon noticing the smell, neighbours then informed the police.
