Of course, there maybe different causes of the presentations below which are not related to stroke Obvious 1. Numbness/weakness of 1 side of body 2. Slurred speech 3. Drooping Face 4. Fainting (cannot rouse patient or persistently drowsy afterwards) Not so obvious (especially for elderly) 1. Suddenly unable to do simple things like dress yourself, write words 2. Elderly begin to fall frequently at home with balance problems 3. Persistent unusual giddiness/headache 4. Temporary loss of vision in one eye 5. It might be a false alarm but if it were really a stroke, time is of the essence that's why I put T to include when did it happen. Timing I dun wanna commit cos sometimes the timing change when new research comes out and of cos the time you started noticing the symptoms might not be the time the symptoms actually occurred so you might think it just happened but on investigation it happened a few hours already... 3 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just felt it was necessary to debunk fake news that some hospitals are not equipped to deal with such an issue. Good thing I did not come across the fake news before my mother got a minor stroke two months back....
