It's weird that the Thai made Altis is considered a more luxurious variant of the HIPPOROLLA when it came out.

Because the Hipporolla in Japan had a factory fitted GPS, thus it was higher level than the equilivant Altis.

This gen of altis is just a doppelganger of Japan corolla E120, same body with different face & butt. Did a side to side comparison with my ex-japan corolla before & feel Japanese E120 has more better equipments.

I think if hipporolla is 1.5 version, the fuel consumption sure got difference altis which is 1.6 engine.

Other thing will be hipporolla power steering is EPS system while altis is traditional belt driven pump which require some of its engine power to power it?
