Wah, didn't know about this... I would have thought that they downsized their engine to reduce their emission.

Reminds me of this that doesn't even have headlights. Guess they haven't driven this for quite awhile as it has been dusty whenever I drop by the area.

Sometime,i don't even know how these CEV works....like some 2.0 N/A Engines Cat B,while some smaller Turbocharged Engine Cat C1..

this guy made a video about small turbocharged engine may not be as efficient as we thought

he said, small turbocharged engine uses rich A/F mixture as charge cooling under high load as a form of pinging control

I'm skeptical but that's his opinion

i think that is the 996, from the late 90s to the early 00s ..

about 20 years old plus minus ..

BMW detunes 2L for 318 rather than use 1.5L.

@inlinesix  I always think there is a engine capacity sweet spot for efficiency, it falls around 1.8~2.0L based on our current technologies

I haven't watched this particular video but Engineering Explained is one of the most technically-sound channels (with a really smart host) on YouTube. 

In sg, our idiotic tax structure charges based on displacement, so small still wins. That's a local quirk.
