Can't help but remember the TopGear guys trying to fill a 3500SE with water.

not easy to restore this as it was quite unreliable .. 

brown plastics brown velour seats .. all date back to the 70s ..

but the two tone paint - black roof - spoils it (in my eyes la)

haha i remember this, and then they drove the cars - rover sd1, austin princess and triumph dolomite if i remember correctly, around the track to see which one had the water drain out slowest (or was it fastest ..)

Aren’t all British cars problematic. Even to this day. Land Rover still crappy, MacLaren too. Lotus, Morgan all same same. The British just cannot built a production car on their own. Honda was successful there cause of the Japanese oversight.

The Rover made it about 30ft before the rear door fell off, but only after they gave up trying to fill it with water because it was escaping just as fast as it was being pumped in by the fire service.

I think that's quite harsh, these days.

Morgans do okay. Most of the current Aston Martins are also pretty handy.

Morgan & Aston Martin are using German Engines,Morgan using BMW & Aston Martin using Mercedes Benz AMG Units.
