Cracking sound from wheels when turning

Lately the wheels or below the car produced cracking noise whenever I make left turn. Or especially I make an up slope left turn. The cracking noise at the wheel will be audible.

And it comes and go randomly. Sometimes few days also don't have. And 1 night, suddenly it become quite bad. Then next day it is ok again.

What could be the fault? Some say it is bearing?

Need to replace drive shaft .. :we-all-gonna-die:

Don't just change the left side only, always change pairs ... :wut:

I know some ppl want to save $$ and change on the noisy ones... [sly]

whats the rationale of changing both sides if the other side is fine.

I rather pay one time labour cost and change both as if one got problem, the other will follow soon.

Changing the drive shaft will need to do alinement to the wheels and everytime, the wks will charge $15 ~ $25/- per alinement. So if you change one at the time, you will pay twice for labour & wheels alinement when you change the other one.
