Anyone visited there for holiday recently? Any recommended place for food and visit?

Visit Canal City's Ramen Stadium for excellent hakata ramen, more ramen at the yatai along the river (very jap - hardly any English menu), Parco at tenjenbashisuji shopping street, can even visit Best Denki main jeepun store...lol. 

If going in Jul, can catch the Hakata Gion Yamakasa. Other than that, nothing much to see at Fukuoka. City quite spread out, attractions not as well served as Tokyo.

I was there enroute to Hiroshima. Only an hour shinkansen away. Can visit Mazda factory while in Hiroshima

Mazda factory tour closed as they are undergoing renovation.

 

 Anyway decided to go to Tokyo again for food and shopping.
