Firstly, Skoda Singapore must be willing to import the combi here. Around the globe, Skoda combi outsells the fastback versions. But SG market is too small for appreciation of wagons. Even Hyundai i30 which saw a few of its wagon here, also stop selling them. Wagons are the best of both worlds and most of the time, the wagons styling look better than any of its bodystyle.

Wagons also tend to be more practical given the larger stowage space (though not always), ease of loading and retrieving stuff from the boot.

Sedan is the worst possible form factor in terms of cargo volume and flexibility.

But wagon or hatchback normally has more road noise as compared to sedan.

This is why SUVs are all the rage now and its the future of automobiles

No body wants a sedan or hatch body style these days... This is why sedans are tough sell in most parts of the world

Actually I do like fastbacks and estates/wagons a lot cos they are practical. I do find large sedans very "unker". I do know of some guys who can only accept sedans.

Not many car makers make fastbacks. Nicely designed fastbacks I find are Audi and Skoda. Those from BMW looks awkward.
