Yup correct.

many years ago, i called up LTA regarding the usage of segway on footpaths etc..

was officially told that such devices are all illegal and disallowed.  But there was basically no enforcement leading to widespread  use.

After widespread illegal use, LTA legalised it

They will ‘continue to fight for the un banning of PMD on footpath’. Very arrogant .

Ya lah, make the food delivery people ride on the road they have safety concern, on pathways they are NOT concern about the safety of pedestrians! Only their own safety is important, KNN!

If Shanghai can use technology to stop ppl from using horn, why can't we do the same thing?

Aren't Govt talks about Smart Nation?

What was these ppl working as before gig economy?

Bus drivers start from 2.4k/mth.  I don't know what industry can hire so many ppl with pay of 3k.

I agree with footpaths are too narrow.  It is so narrow that i run on the road sometime.

PABs are banned on footpath for a long time.  Can only use on road.

Lol... Some people think these people have a lot of options and there are a lot of $3k jobs out there.

My bad, I see many bicycles on the footpath and that is currently allowed. Bicycle can go above 10km/h too.

Govt did not introduced PMD.  PMD was sold on the island despite its illegality (do a search on MCF on SEGWAY).  Instead of enforcing on the illegal use of PMD, it was legalised via Active Mobility

Yes, I remember Segway was tried out at Changi Airport by the law enforcers.

By legalising it is 1% less evil!
