I last stayed at E&O too. It'slike Raffles Hotel in Penang and always adjourned back to the hotel in the afternoon for the free afternoon tea.

If possible

everyone should stay in it once in their lives

its cheaper than raffles or Shang but it brings you back to a different era. Staying in a suite, having tea then sitting by the beach .. a fabulous experience 👍

The Singapore bird 🐦

just a small suggestion:

our currency is thrice as valued so things seem really cheap here

m$50 for a meal? Cheap cheap

and we cheap cheap here and there without sparing a thought for the locals

a grab driver earns about 4500 after working 14 hours a day and he is beat.

So let’s keep our chirping and cheaping to ourselves ?

cheers

They really mean afternoon TEA. I went there, and asked for coffee instead to go with the finger sandwiches and cakes. I was told that they only serve TEA with the food, and they have a choice of teas. I suppose they are stickers to the English tradition.
