The details of the November 2019 2nd open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows:

Tender opens: Monday, 18 November 2019, 12 noon
Tender closes: Wednesday, 20 November 2019, 4.00 pm
Tender results: Wednesday, 20 November 2019 (Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website)

The total quota available for this tender is 3,452 for the following vehicle categories:

NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:
Category A: Cars (up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,023
Category B: Cars (above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,019
Category D: Motorcycles => 698

TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:
Category C: Goods Vehicles and Buses => 322
Category E: Open Category => 390

Very likely they will either maint or even increase prices in the name of lower COE allocations.

So the conclusion is even COE will to drop by 2k is not going to influence caebuying decision .😄

Quota is the same from nov-Jan. No change from last round.

Let me give you some eg from Komoco... SE name take out for privacy, but you can see for yourself if lower COE prices= lower selling price...

The dealer's profit margin actually went up when COE prices decreases.

Correct. It makes even more sense to import a car in yourself during these times if you really want to stretch your $$ to the max. Most AD profit margins are getting ridiculous these days.

Many models actually cost more than when COE was at 60-70k....
