Yeah.. SG drivers are very cost sensitive.. once the OMV of this popular car goes up, the interest level will drop.. sure a few motor enthusiasts will welcome the better engine, but most are interested in a VFM car - they will even put up with two airbags so long as the price is right.

Another point is to make sure the chassis, the drive and other parts can handle the power.. unless they detune it for the City vs the Civic..

If only this new City looks as good as the girls in the video :D This new City still looks alot like the current gen... and the extended front overhangs... from some angles, it looked alot like the current Proton Saga... esp if u look at the white base model City with tiny wheels.

TMD, 2020 already still no Honda Sensing nor AEB? That old style parking brake lever is welcomed though.. Much easier to tighten up your handling at the bends. Push button parking brake looks cool but not sporty.

Nice design and turbo 3 cylinder is a good welcome to cat A category.

Tuning potential will be limited due to CVT gearbox. If it's a DCT or 6AT, can tune for extra power. Baby type r anyone? 😂

This 1L is tuned for fuel economy and not brute power. Hence the super impressive fuel economy figures.

Frankly no matter how you hot rod a 1L, power delivery will be uneven... and its still a 3 cyln...and your tiny engine may drink like a 2L and beyond if you push it hard

with turbo.

no lag

I think he meant CVT lag. With 7 preset ratio, there should not be any CVT lag.

Since this is a single scroll turbo, there might be lag till 2k RPM.

oh CVT lag.  hmmm.... its the characteristics of CVT gears.

But i think the new honda cars shld be getting better in this.

wait for this new City to be in showroom and we go for test drive.

Saw the new Honda City on YouTube, was disappointed that there will be no rear air-con vent. Instead the location where suppose to be rear air-con vent they provided a cup holder hole, kind of obstructing the leg room for rear centre passenger. Bad design.

Thought there have rear aircon vent on the current facelift city, and now the new city no more rear aircon vent? Lol.

If Thailand market doesn't have rear aircon vents, it means it really won't have already. Another way to keep the cost of the car down.

Maybe Honda aircon is strong enough since Thailand weather can be hotter than us.
