Fractured collarbone

I had the unfortunate experience of fracturing my collarbone after a bad fall while skiing yesterday.

Local A&E took xrays, put me in a shoulder brace and gave painkillers.

I'm enroute home, and planning to visit SGH A&E after I'm back.

Meanwhile reaching out if anyone has any advice or info on similar injury, recommended hospitals or orthopedic surgeons, treatment, physio etc.

Thanks

Usually don't need surgery except special cases. If u need a shoulder surgeon to assess you, let me know, my good friend is one at CGH.

Get well soon!

Clavicle fracture, any orthopedic surgeon can see and fix most things. Anyway not many ones are recommended for surgery in 1st place.

But there are some orthopedic surgeons who do mostly upper limb, shoulder surgery as their sub-specialty. Since you are going to see orthopedics, probably see them better.

Sorry about your misfortune. Hope all is well.

A few years ago I injured myself while at Tahoe. Used to ski once every few years, closest thing to flying. As I get older and become more kayu, decided to give it up.  Lol. It could have been worse and I thanked my lucky star.  😓

I am hearing at least one such incident every Hokkaido winter.  2 friends broke their legs, a cousin his upper arm.  Just a function of Niseko being flooded by Singaporeans?
