Mr DIY is shit. Macham daiso but lousier.

Pay peanuts cannot expect gorilla. You need coconut to have that. General stuff useable but if really need quality for special purpose, then need to go real hardware shops.

These shops all can close, nobody bloody DIYs in Singapore..

I diy, but I don't go to shopping centres to buy tools. They are too expensive.

I go to industrial parks hardware shops where they sell tools and stuffs to contractors.

So for home-fix it's only a matter of time, before they shut.

Or I go to shops like Horme where they have many things.

Mr DIY the price of things they sell is pretty attractive. I went to the newly open one at Anchorpoint (oppo IKEA Alexander).

LED T10 and some interior LED light bulbs. Around $5.

Door guard in Blue, Red and Black colour. It's reinforced with metal strip. Under 10 bucks.

Sound proofing door seals (3M adhesive). It's $8.50 for around 4m . Somebody removed it and hung it below.

Compared to the pirate shop at Ubi Mr DIY is cheaper. I only went in to browse for less than 30mins as I have to pick up my kid. There are a lot more automotive accessories. Still have a lot more hardware stuff I havent see. Maybe go tonight. LoL...

their quality is really questionable. Some stuff can buy, some no point. Msia stores (mr diy) are bigger n cheaper but also selling the same type of products

and I doubt that is real 3M...

I see. I have never used their products so dont really know. I usually buy these stuff online from Amazon. Although cost more but quality wise they outlast my expectations. Like I bought led dome light from Amazon and my friend got his from Aliexpress. They are exactly the same thing (heck, they even looked the same)  but quality is vastly different. Let's just say what you pay is what you get. LoL...

I like diy shop but those in sin are lacking the punch comparing to百安居in china.

Not sure if can compare to the DIY shops I visited in the USA, Home Depot and Lowe. They are damn huge and has every single DIY thing including raw materials and wood. Each section is a department store by itself. Even contractors buy from the store there. Not to mention, the parking lots are even bigger than the building itself and its not MSCP, its all open air lots.

Only thing I hesitated to buy more DIY stuff is their voltage is 110V and measurements are in inches(imperial) instead of our metrics.

Will miss Home-fix. Bye bye and thanks for the memories.[wave] I was once part of their MAD(Make A Difference) volunteer. Going to low income families house to repaint their walls.
