E class makes sense because it is a 1.8L engine..if you are really keen, see if you could get a e250, that would be the best balance in terms of power and road tax because it is also a 1.8L engine. But e200 can do some mod to up the power from the existing 182bhp also. Many e class are driven by bosses and executives, so in terms of condition are good.  Just an option for consideration. The thing is you know your car condition well, buying an used car has its risk.

I would go for a 10yrs renewal if u knows how well yr car condition.
depreciation is lower and Lexus RX350 is indeed a good car.

The problem is that while you may know it's present condition, you won't know its future condition.

No crystal ball here. No warranty, factory or third party, for >10 year old car. That says something.

Just so you guys know, comprehensive insurance is commonplace nowadays for COE renewed cars. Think the insurance companies adapted to the higher number of COE renewals in recent years

same with every car, new or used.

even with warranty in place, they might tell you normal and refuse to do anything if its not serious enough, testing your resolve. ie the case of the Porsche Macan.

an older car usually has more things to fix, but if its a simple BB car, then chances are it will be simple and relatively cheap and quick to fix. the more complex higher end cars with numerous electronic gizmos, will be tougher to identify the fault.

That’s if you believe it is the true mileage.

it  stated  full service history, can take a look, give it a benefit of doubt.

been through a few dealers who posted, full history. but when asked, they say records with C&C, need to go get it yourself. However C&C does not release service history if you are not the registered owner. so thats that.

for most authorised agents, they won't release history but you can get the mileage and date of last service over the phone if you are lucky

haha, thats another trick that dealers do. they send it in for a simple sevice at the AD to log the last service date and mileage. so that when you check... yup, it is serviced at dealer, but it is only that one time and there could be a huge gap from the service prior to that.

not to sound arrogant. but most of their tricks, i've heard before.

Only 1 owner .

I wont say no chance low mileage.

I would  say Most low mileage car is 1 owner
