Just that Toyota uses exclusively Aisin group transmissions, Nissan uses Jatco as their supplier.

Aisin group is owned by Toyota.

Jatco is owned by Nissan

Aisin also merged with Borg Warner, a premier US transmission and gears OEM that dates back to the early 60s.

Hence the new name Aisin Warner. Many GM products uses GB from this JV as well

It's not the first time they are going bankrupt.

They are also pulling down their dealers as they sink. I mean just look at the reviews here on the dealership. Ppl put the blame on the dealer but not see that the problem lies with the cars that Nissan produce.

That's probably why Nissan hate Carlos so much. Although he's a genius at cutting cost but long term results show that it's not the case. Nissan and the Japanese govt are probably putting all of the blame on him for destroying their reputation. Bummer.

This whole saga is particularly interesting considering Carlos was supposedly the man who helped turn Nissan around when it was near bankruptcy in the 90s.

Hypersonic

They destroyed themselves when they change their name

from Datsun to Nissan.

Change the name, change the fortune.

They should have consulted a feng shui master before changing name.

Nissan to revive itself need to do two things

1.) Change the name back to Datsun and build millions of a new modern Z.

This is how Mazda revived itself by selling millions of MX5 in the US market.

2.) Implement the customer service philosophy of Omotenashi

The concept of service without asking or proactive service.
