Toeknee_33 Turbocharged May 31, 2020 Share May 31, 2020 The Alliance is headed in a new direction, not merger as Ghosn had planned, but cooperation, which is more palatable with the members. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/renault-nissan-and-mitsubishi-increase-technology-sharing By the way, can someone correct the spelling error in the thread heading? ↡ Advertisement

Previuosly ford came to the rescue for mazda, volvo, jag, Unless renault and nissan renew their breakup, its going to be hard to imagine who else would be a good partner. On a worst case scenerio, the korean may want a piece of the pie. All above are speculation. I would think that the korean will benefit from Nissan too. Who the heck wants petrol powered Cabstar or even NV 200, if possible? Petrol is expensive and non-deductible as company expenses. Moreover petrol is less efficient and durable than diesel. Triple whammy. When TC introduced only petrol versions, they should be prepared to goodbye to their sales. actually nv 200 sales is quite good for small van cat maybe because there is no close completeor .offering the same price?? the newer lite ace ( forgot the name ) is alot more expensive. other conti brand even more unreliable

Actually my post was aiming at Cabstar, not so much at NV200. NV200 is popular as it is like the cheapest van around and has decent reliability. (Not including Every). I think Liteace not that ex. Its just that it looks like a dump (and MII) and costs 5k more than NV200. Proace looks good but is a wolf in sheep's clothing, i.e. French. Very very hard to see 1. Every i would put them 1 cat lower then nv 200 in the mini van series. Speaking about nv200 diesel. The oil change is damn stupid. Every oil change the mech need remove a top hose which drain out the coolant. And that vehicle need a timing belt replacement every 60k.

Cause the diesel engine is from renault. 😂 Their petrol engine my mech told they used back latio 1.5L engine. So still reliable.

NV200 diesel is complicated to deal with, but that is so shockingly bad. I think I will take the petrol version, on the pretext that i have a very good discount card for petrol or join lalamove for 25 percent discount on my petrol bill if I am ever looking for a van. Toyota and PSA has been collaborating for couple decades in Europe. Proace I think only brought in by PI
