I too sat in a forester. At the back.

There is a distinct difference between sitting in a car  and on the car seat.

Machiam like the former compared to a sofa while the latter like a dinning chair.

You can never get comfortable on a dinning chair.

skip Honda Freed, it's suspension is hard.

For comfort or all rounder, I do agree Toyota Camry.

Citroen is known for its extreme magic carpet ride if you do not mind trying french car.

Ford Mondeo was good but no longer available unless 2nd hand option.

Having a heavy car will provide much comfort at expense of fuel efficiency.

But, do go back to back test ride from 8am and I am sure you can decide which in shortlist you will choose by 6pm.

now C&C's GLA180 got promo at $122k

or can go for PI's one at $118k or less. but PI's GLA180 is the most basic spec car. don't even have reverse sensors LOL😂😂😂

can also get an almost new (left 9 year+ COE) Audi A3 or Volvo V40 at around 120k. these cars are as good as new. most likely are management units sold to used car dealers.

all these are worth taking a look. almost all conti cars are very comfortable.

but don't ever get a VW. stupid car. my first new car was a VW Tiguan. within 7 months gearbox die. kns.... vomit blood spent money on repairs, then quickly sold it away. will never ever own a VW again in my life.

EDIT;;

just checked SGCarmart for fun... BMW 216i Active Tourer 9y3mth COE remaining at 115k, 216i Gran tourer 9y8mth COE remaining at 120k. these are definitely worth looking at. my current car is a 216d Gran Tourer, excellent drive. not much body roll and very comfortable. sound insulation is good, but above 120km/h can hear some noise, most likely wind or smth lol.  also is very fun to drive although it's a MPV!!!

Tall SUVs can never be smooth riding.

They are designed for off roads or bad roads.

For smooth riding you always need a saloon car.

For quietness it can never be a diesel.

Best is petrol and electric hybrid.

not true what u said for diesel. my current car is a BMW 216d GT. can't hear any diesel noise inside the car. outside doesn't matter haha. and so fuel efficient. 1100km per tank! very comfortable too!

If the you drove the petrol camry then you will find the hybrid even quieter.

The first few km is usually in electric mode and the engine is not even switched on at all.

But SUV sales completely crush sedans and hatches worldwide... that manufacturers are abandoning their sedans and hatches en masse and concentrate on more SUVs

In your opinion, which car (below 120k) offers the most comfortable riding experience?

Taking into consideration bumpiness, ride stability and noise insulation...

BMW Grand Tourer.  possible to get it under 120k or just top up abit more.

I think your scope is too wide. But I have to agree. Honda freed is nice practical. I like the wood trim that gives off a minimalist feel to the car.

For PI car - Honda Freed

For New AD Car - Kia Cerato

For Used car - Evo10 or Civic Type R. (Provided I can afford the insurance lah)

Wrong leh bro, evo and type r are never comfortable
