Second case in Japan.

A man in his 40s from Wuhan City China was sightseeing in Japan. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the infection was confirmed in a man in his 40s living in Wuhan, Hubei Province, who had a fever from [14 Jan 2020] before coming to Japan and consulted a medical institution on [15 Jan 2020] and [17 Jan 2020], There was no diagnosis of pneumonia and the patient was followed up. He traveled to Japan on [19 Jan 2020] and visited a medical institution on [20 Jan 2020], but was not diagnosed with pneumonia.

However, the fever and sore throat continued even on [22 Jan 2020], and when he visited a medical institution again, he was hospitalized because of signs of pneumonia. It was confirmed that the virus was infected with the new coronavirus early in the morning of [24 Jan 2020]. The man is currently hospitalized at a medical institution in Tokyo. The man said that he was not near the seafood market in Wuhan, where many people seem to be infected, and that he wore a mask when traveling.

Previously, a Chinese man in his 30s living in Kanagawa Prefecture who returned from Wuhan, was infected with the new coronavirus on [15 Jan 2020], and this was the 2nd case confirmed.

Luckily, these are all "direct imports" so far rather than secondary cases.

Anyway, I know @Jamesc will be very concerned about his adult education specialists.

"Alone as a means of keeping infection out of countries, they provide a false security,” said Heymann. People can cross borders without a fever then get sick after their arrival and taking paracetamol or aspirin can bring a fever down so it isn’t detected, he said.

These travelers know how to defeat temperature screening at the airports. Maybe airlines should consider installing such screening devices in the aircraft cabins to allow flight crews to constantly monitor passenger condition during the flight(especially long haul ones). Passenger info of suspected cases would have to be passed to health officials before  everyone gets off the plane.

Too little, too late

The first case detected more than 1 month ago.

The seafood market was identified more than 1 month ago

and they kept it open for a few more weeks.

Students and migrant workers have been going home for weeks.

Wuhan is a university city.

The incubation period is 2 weeks.

Get it today and it could be 2 weeks before its confirmed.

Put all this together and calculate how big the problem could be.

Stupid communists hide more lah.

You only putting yourself, your family and your people at risk.

Hide more, hide more.

The best way to stop this is full transparency.

Full transparency is something communist cannot do.

But this virus does not discriminate communist or non communist.

It will just affect anybody.

Japan has 100% more cases than Hong Kong.

Democracy has saved Hong Kong.

If it wasn't for democracy can you imagine how many China tourist would have gone to Hong Kong?

Wuhan gov knew from early December

but did not report till December 31.

Democracy has saved Hong Kong

and lack of transparency will hamper China.

Based on these dates data modelling suggest thousands maybe affected.

Officials are attempting to trace as many as 2,000 visitors who have flown in to the UK from the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the new strain of coronavirus first broke out.

Wuhan people seems to love eat live animals and travelling.

What a deadly combination.

They found the China women with the fever in France using her social media pictures.

The Chinese embassy in Paris has tracked down a woman from Wuhan who said she took tablets to pass airport health checks.

The woman boasted on social media that she had been suffering from a fever, but managed to reduce her symptoms with medicine.

She later posted pictures showing herself dining at what she claimed was a Michelin-starred restaurant in Lyon.

The woman detailed her journey to Lyon on social media site WeChat.

"Finally I can have a good meal, I feel like I've been starving for two days. When you are in a gourmet city of course you have to eat Michelin [food]," she wrote.

"Just before I left, I had a low fever and cough. I was scared to death and rushed to eat [fever-reducing] medicine. I kept on checking my temperature. Luckily I managed to get it down and my exit was smooth."

[hur]

I scared to death.

I not scared you die.

I only care I want to eat good food.

Communism has destroyed China from a country of learning and culture

to a country of animals.

This is communism.

I am glad our founders destroyed communism in Singapore.
