BCH boom boom got standard when TT got    black hair and small paunch many many years ago.

Nowadays, bleah.

An illustration of what is bak kwa.

Official time stamp. 4 hours and 11 minutes for LCG at Cow car water.

Now foot massage I go.

Forgot to bring folding chair. Duh.

Bak kwa prices surge amid the COVID-19 pandemic | Video

Quote

Prices of bak kwa are up as much as S$12 per kilogram, with Chinese New Year festivities about two weeks away. Stores say meat supplies are more expensive amid the COVID-19 pandemic and a manpower crunch, with some businesses diverting sales online.

honestly i don't see the draw of CNY bak kwa.

1. need to order/queue in advance.

2. more expensive.

3. likely to be grilled/BBQ much faster to produce more, thus burnt and less well grilled.

anyway to each his own. I refuse to be bothered or sucked into bak kwa for CNY shenanigan.

wonder who started it in the first place.?

Vacuumed packed BK seems to prolong the freshness longer.

But it's also super duper oily when compared to conventional way of packing with thick layers of papers.

And yes, I did once sarcastically reminded an aunty that I was buying BK and not the papers while she was weighing the meat. That was years ago though.

I miss the cheaper and better bak kwa sold in jb 😥 Ever since I tried it I never buy in sg anymore.

Hearsay the jb BK shops some got lobang to deliver across the causeway.
