They have plants in many countries.  Its just that CNC choose to bring in the car from the india plant.

Maybe rupee is low vs sgd. thus omv will be low and then have better profits

The Defender is meant for hardcore off-road usage and thus a utilitarian approach towards the design and choice of materials. As this very particular model on display has been making appearance at countless motor show and events since last September, it may be a little unfair to associate the level of wear and tear seen with its built quality.

I had previously shortlist it as one of the potential car to buy. The exterior is niceHowever after looking at it in person, the interior doesn't feel good at all. Lot of hard hard plastics all around. Most likely give it a pass. The new Defender will be selling at minimum 250k or more. There are better cars out there in term of interior quality and feel. If they want to chase the existing defender owner then they should not do too much compromise and now make this car expensive but not here not there in term of price positioning.

even kia also made in india?

so now it's not a hankok kia but a keling kia

Spoken to a senior KIA guy, all KIA are still from Korea except for this model. This is also the first time they bring in from India

Many rock bottom deals at Motorshow. Price is negotiable.

Just signed on dotted line for VW Passat 1.8 turbo Comfortline at $120K (list price $124K).

Guaranteed COE with COE rebate at $37K. CAT B COE last round was $37,109.

I think it's a deal too good to miss for a made in Germany continental car, compared to the Mercedes C160 using a Renault 1.5l engine selling for $160K.
