Lai lai

Let's discuss since @Carbon82might be busy.

I think COE will go down not just because of WuHan but other factors like trade with China which will affect economy and the demand for cars.

Demand maybe down. But supply also down. Hence, should be more or less around 30 to 35k  for bread and butter car

Current crisis may affect some industries. However, those in medical, cleaning and chemical industries should be doing roaring biz.

Even before virus flying everywhere, coe also did not increased much, so this round should maintain or even down a bit?! Lol.

  1. Heresay S'pore motorshow sales were very muted this year (across all the brands).
  2. COE supply cut for February - April.
  3. Economic impact of trade war and wuhan virus.

So predict COE will remain the same or drop a little.

1) reported in ST, actual visitors decrease quite a lot

actual total vehicle sales, down as well.

Yes ST reported that the this year's S'pore Motorshow had only 52,000 visitors, compared to last year which had 56,000 visitors.

And though all the standard bread and butter cars like the new Altis, new CX-30, new Hyundai Venue and new Kia Seltos were launched, sales are still muted.

COE definitely not rising.

first time i see COE discussion so muted and today is bidding day some more

No new interesting models on the market ya.

Mazda CX30 no stocks till end of April, may be further delayed becos of the virus thing. CX8 won't be launched until mid year although the show car was a fully retail model from Malaysia factory.

Kia Seltos still not available yet... How well it can sell remains to be seen.

G12 Altis? I did say interesting models... not more of the same. 😴

The majority are still left over models from 2018-2019.

Major model changes/intro will not happen till the 2nd half of this year.
