I got $300++ quote from budget direct insurance before for my previous COE car. Feel that FWD insurance package is quite comprehensive, u can do a comparison on the fine prints with other major insurers like AIG, NTUC etc.

BanCoe Hypersonic February 20, 2020 Share February 20, 2020 (edited) yes tried them this year 1st time with some CNY promo for wifey car ; It was slightly cheaper than my current HLA by about $200/- with almost same TnC, so the premium was about $1,400 with 20% NCD for A200 merc; HLA was charging about $1600; Anyway I feel its all luck; I took the mid range policy (dunno what they call it) Excess was $750 Edited February 20, 2020 by BanCoe 2

Been using FWD 3 years in a row. Only thing to beware of is some insurance company has windscreen coverage that includes a full rebate of rental cars. So have to check the various TNCs. Mkl22 Twincharged February 20, 2020 Share February 20, 2020 as with all insurances, everything is fine and dandy till the time when it comes to make a claim. thats when you can see the decent ones from the ones who try to prevent a claim. with COE cars, 3rd party is usually enough, cause if the damage is more than a few thousand, likely they will say scrap. and if all they offer is scrap. whats the point in paying more for insurance when you can get the same amount from LTA anyway. 4

You might need to hunt around. ↡ Advertisement
