To be fair, there should be some rules in walking your dog in public spaces. Dog is tame and won't bites is being repeated by dog lovers. Once they bite, then talking is too late.

When walking in public spaces or inside lift, should they be chained and with muzzle? How do they treat dog poops also need to be addressed too. Hope they don't end up in children playground. If HDB is relaxing the rule, they must also consider appropriate place for such activities. Don't issue licence then wait for others to solve the problem they created.

Based on past cases, high chance they only implemented something and then wait for others to solve the problem they created de. So lets see this big doctor licence will have any problem down the road?!

Ya lo, even i heard many times that the owner of the dog also got bitten by their own dog sometimes. So cannot blame that some people might scare of dog if stand too close to them. There was once at my block while waiting for lift, one neighbour with a small dog also waiting for the lift, then the dog suddenly jumped up towards me, but the owner fast reaction and pull back the dog. The dog sees me suddenly feel so excited? [laugh]

sometimes when I go downstairs, neighbourhood cats see me will run away 😢

wish they see me will come and teh me instead 😻

The follow issues you point out is valid. But those are the human problem, not the dog problem. They are animal. They dunno what is right what is wrong. The owner must take full responsibility of their pets action.

Muzzle is too much. If someone have diabetic issues, should they wear like a clown and inform everyone they are diabetic? End of the day, it is the person lifestyle.

Dogs and policemen are poor thing. When young, many parents will frighten their misbehaving kids by saying things like

"still not obedient, then the police will catch you and lock you up"! 😅

The animal version is probably like

"still not obedient, then the dog will bite you" lor...

My mother scare me with abnn. She say if I misbehave, abnn will catch me!!!

I agree, the dog owner must take full responsibility on their own pet. The most basic one is must leash the dog when outside and clean their poop, if not these people should not have pet if they simply bo chap.

Not all muzzle is wrong, there are muzzles designed to allow for full range of mouth movement and will not harm the dog, those are ok. Category dogs must muzzle according to law also.

You are absolutely right that they are animal. So, if it bites someone, the victim goes after who? The dog or?

Any dog experts guarantee the dog he trained will never bites? Dog owner must respect the people that fear dog, if you are bringing a dog in close proximity or have possible danger to others, you have responsibility to secure and mitigate that danger. When you are alone in your own home within your own private spaces, you may let the dog do whatever you deem OK.

I am not against pet but we need to respect others in this shared environment.

I do agree to a certain extend. But I would prefer to have a more gracious approach.

Maybe because I am an animal lover. Maybe I see the perspective of them wear muzzles and such in a human way. maybe the dogs don't mind that.

I won't disagree with you. And I respect it. I am just sharing my thoughts. 🙂
