Ha Amanda is the Lao ban niang? Quite sweet face. Well ten years ago ha. She had a toddler then.

Yes she is the founder, chatted with her. Very patient and professional lady, and yes I agree still looking very sweet and kind lol.☺️ You saw her kid? Her kid is a teenager now, studying in ACSI

It makes diamond look bigger, I liked it too. But my fiancée thinks it’s a bit mature for her. 😅Actually it depends on her personality, is she the kind who dresses up?

Oh I see. She’s not the girl who dresses too much, but I think she like diamonds on the setting and straight band. I will think about it this few days and planning to go back to eclarity this weekend to confirm. Thanks for your help!

I proposed without a ring in 1999

then we went and bought a pair of rings that cost less than $1k iirc.

Next I asked her if she wants a stone or cash? I would not buy a stone out of principle but I would give her the equivalent amount in cash.

She took the cash.

We live happily forever after.

Diamonds are foridiots, just say NO

why not "refurbished" rings aka pre-owned. We are so comfortable in getting a pre-owned car, watches...why not a ring? Does it really matters so much that it has to be brand new? Remember the value of a ring plummet by more 50% the moment it is out of the store.

No rings at proposal time. The cash was for her to buy the diamond ring because I refuse to buy it directly. She is free to do whatever she wants with the money. She has not bought the diamond up til today.

Its never about the cost of the ring.

its about the sincerity. If both are young couple just starting out no need to overspend. A gift from the heart is always good enough.  When next time got more money can buy a better one.

but end of the day the original ring will always be most meaningful and worthy to be on the finger.

Yes totally agree with you Throttle2. I too believe I should just get a ring with a price that is comfortable for me. Definitely will look to buy or upgrade to something better in the future.

I agree the first and original ring will carry sentimental value for sure. Look forward to that day she and I will look at the ring and recall the precious moments we spent together.
