I will take this anytime (which happen to be largest in the cat too). Don't quite fancy the grill design of the latest Hyundai (Santa Fe, Sonata, Elantra, etc.). I am generally OK with the other part of the new Elantra (kudos to the Korean for their daring effort in crafting out a new design language)...

And I wonder if there is a typo for the new Elantra spec, the boot space is quoted as 14.2 ft2 (402L)??

Hyundai Interior Packaging Efficiency

Even in trunk room, the Hyundai Elantra shines. Elantra's 14.2 cu. ft. of trunk space gives it an 8 percent advantage over the Corolla.

Personally, I find the interior is nice. Exterior wise, three things spoil the otherwise nice design.

1) The triangular sides lines.

2) The blanked out rear quarter area which suppose to be a window.

3) The mouthful front grille and the lines at the sides of the bootlid.

If it does come as featured, all these will make the new Elantra too high tech and too desirable that it it will make alot of low end Conti models with spartan interiors and weak engines unsellable. 

It will upset the automotive social status in SG... becos most believe Korean cars will always be cheap junks and must remain like that forever, something like what Proton and Perodua should be. 

 

even the current avante has more features than the other cars in the same price point.... people just dont like the badge/design

I am pretty sure KMC will bring in most of the seen features for the Elite trim at least. 

Drive train wise, cannot confirm as of now will it be a carried over from current version. But heard likely to adopt the new drive train from Venue. Let's see in months time if this is really accurate.

For other countries maybe, but in SG its generally no... Eg, Do u see AEB, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic warning etc in the Cerato, Sorento or even the Stinger? Only the current Niro SX has the full suite. 

For Hyundai in sg, Avante Elite has blind spot detection and rear traffic warning, but the rest of the features above were deleted. The same applies to Tuscon. Venue got none of the above despite a brand new model launch. Again only the Ioniq high spec has the full suite.

The overall height also dropped 0.8 inch, and the front cowl point was moved back almost two inches. Sensuous Sportiness Defined in the Parametric Dynamics Design

"Parametric dynamics" is the phrase Hyundai designers use to describe the dramatic look of the 2021 Elantra.

"Like the first generation, the seventh-generation Elantra/Avante has a bold character," said Luc Donckerwolke, executive vice president and chief design officer, Hyundai Motor Group. "The fresh esthetic was completed through unconventional lines and a face that broke a taboo in automotive design. Elantra Hybrid

The new Elantra Hybrid will feature a 1.6-liter GDI Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine. Hyundai Elantra Hybrid's permanent-magnet electric motor delivers 32 kW powered by a lithium-ion-polymer battery with 1.32 kWh of capacity positioned under the rear seats. The 1.6-liter GDI engine combined with the electric motor in Elantra Hybrid delivers a total system output of 139 horsepower and up to 195 lb-ft of torque. This engine mates with Hyundai's quick-shifting, six-speed, dual-clutch transmission-differentiating Hyundai Elantra Hybrid from its key competitors because of its more dynamic and engaging driving experience. The high-efficiency electric motor has an electric only driving mode that delivers instantaneous torque at low speeds, with available power-assist at higher vehicle speeds. Engine Performance

The Hyundai Elantra SE, SEL, and Limited offer the 2.0L MPI Atkinson Cycle engine that also has a focus on fuel economy. This engine generates 147 horsepower @ 6,200 RPM and 132 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4,500 RPM. These models are projected to achieve a best-in-class EPA combined fuel economy rating, an improvement over previous models, due in part to an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).

Intelligent Variable Transmission Mated to a 2.0L Engine

Hyundai's IVT provides superior efficiency and simulates gear shifts like those in the automatic transmissions that customers are used to. This transmission performs continuous shifts by the modulating pressure of the transmission's pulley, depending on driving conditions and driver inputs. It uses a wide-ratio pulley system, which provides a broader ratio of operation compared with its competitors. This allows for improved fuel economy at higher gear ratios and improved performance at lower ratios.

As opposed to a more common push belt, the IVT takes advantage of a chain-design belt that improves fuel efficiency by an additional 1.2 percent compared with conventional belt systems.

Hyundai's new Shift Control Strategy used by the IVT improves linearity between driver inputs, vehicle behavior and acceleration. Shift response closely replicates automatic transmission step shifts.

Third-Generation Compact-Sized K3 Vehicle Platform

Elantra's Digital Key also allows secure sharing of virtual keys with family and friends.

Elantra owners can tailor the different vehicle functions available to each shared virtual key, and the key can be made available for only a defined amount of time. For other countries maybe, but in SG its generally no... Eg, Do u see AEB, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic warning etc in the Cerato, Sorento or even the Stinger? Only the current Niro SX has the full suite. 

For Hyundai in sg, Avante Elite has blind spot detection and rear traffic warning, but the rest of the features above were deleted. The same applies to Tuscon. Venue got none of the above despite a brand new model launch. Again only the Ioniq high spec has the full suite. 

You have missed out. Sorrento and Stinger are equipped with Blind Spot Detection, Traction Control and Rear Cross Reverse Sensor.

The GT Cerato has equipped with traction control and hill stop. Cerato spec is level down if compare with Avanti.

Never mind... I am talking about passive accident avoidance features and you talked about traction control. 

You need to buy the Stinger 3.3 to get blind spot detection. Base 2L got nothing. Sorento got nothing also. Cerato SX/GT Line got nothing as well.
