It's not easy to integrate the ambient lighting in the way that the CN7 does it... especially if you have a lights show with sensors controlling the lights coming on and off and intensity with fade function...

The "Virtual Cockpit" in the Elite, what can the screen show? seems like only speedo and engine speed from the marketing content so far.

Can it display maps, "Currently PLaying" info etc?

there are 2 screens - the first screen directly in front of you ie. the instrument panel - shows the speedo and rpm by default, but has a central portion which can be customised to show other driving metrics eg tire pressure, fuel efficiency etc. maps/playlists etc are on the other screen, the infotainment unit to its left.
