New Zealand is in total lock down from today -

all non essential business closed (including takeaways and restaurants)

Schools all closed from tomorrow

Everybody supposed to hide at home

My work considered to be "essential service" so I will be in office as per normal

Quite a number of state is doing that.

Everyone stay at home.  Only 1 person can go out to buy food.

Plus look at this.. These cars thought they can drive through toll gate on highway.. No transit to other state means No.. Stay put at where you are.. Forget about going to the other state..

Sounds serious, wonder will they extend the MCO period?

Muhyiddin had said will meet up with cabinet to discuss on 30 march to see the situation again whether need to extend or not.. So it all depends on whether the virus situation got improved or not..

Just use Wuhan as reference. That's lock down since 23 February. Now still not 100% open (maybe 95%). 1 to 2 months before things normalise in Malaysia.

Their initial sharp increase of numbers is not as bad as wuhan. So cannot compare like that..

The information is over here.. So it all depends on how the situation progress.. Muhyiddin by 31st march will decide whether to extend or not for the MCO.
