The more I think of Elong Must the more I think of Pudding.

Same same but different.

In the eyes of CEOs, in order to protect their rice bowl and to be given  more share options,  firing in the American listed MNCs is the most appropriate thing to do, under the pretext of share holder interest.

https://www.straitstimes.com/opinion/are-bosses-insisting-on-returning-to-the-office-for-the-right-reasons

Are bosses insisting on returning to the office for the right reasons?

Leaders insist for reasons of control, culture and collaboration but miss the larger point in how work has shifted.

In recent weeks, I have dealt with companies seeking advice on making the move to get employees back in the office more frequently during the week and dealing with hesitation, even resistance, from staff.

In interventions that I’ve run, most employees seem truly baffled and feel unconvinced of the benefits. “My boss told our team to return to the office to collaborate, but all our meetings are still on Zoom, so what’s the point?” one asked

After so long, now companies then start to get employees back in the office more frequently or no more WFH, sure cannot make it. By right, companies should already stop the WFH arrangement when gahment announced the relaxation of covid measures and open up almost everything. Now very difficult to take back WFH lo.

High chance your boss would not care if you quit or even threaten to quit. Not happy, you can walk off the job and the company can jolly get another new guy in. The company would not close down due to your resignation. Many bosses have such work style in many companies now. They do not appreciate and retain their staff.

But the top management, who are insulated from the operational nitty gritty, don't care or appreciate all this.

All they care about is to see that there is sufficient manpower, new or old, as long as is alive and turn up to work [laugh]

It's only us colleagues or immediate supervisor that have the operational headache.

Now then they use such tactic to ask their employees to return to office? My company long long time ago when gahment announced WFH no longer mandatory, already tell us this. Come back to office or fk off. 😅

Ya ya, i guess those companies still have WFH arrangement now, either it is amdk company or their boss is amdk. For non amdk companies or top management is from the east, no such thing of WFH la.
