Cooked steak and vege for family. Used the cast iron skillet for the very first time. Can really see the difference with the right tool, but really a pain to have to heat it over gas stove after cleaned up, apply oil, and season it in oven for an hr.

I thought only before the 1st usage you need to put inside oven at high heat for one hour.

After that every time after used, just need to apply oil and heat up on stove before keep.

Mine came pre-seasoned so i did not have do that but i kiasu as want to season it myself.

You are right that only need to heat up after use and apply oil to prevent rusting. Season is only once i n awhile to help in coating or after washing the skillet with soapy water that strip away the seasoning. Very very troublesome. Will throw away if it rust and buy a good stainless steel pan instead.

Ask them to separate the soup.

For this store, after put back the soup back home. The kway is still very chewy.
