I get get her to stand in front to show her how effective it is.

I also heard if got bird sheet on the sensor it won't work.

Just make sure you put enough wet tissue. 😅

Let me cite you an example, as a car coming out from a side road into a main road which is not controlled by traffic light, if there's a bicycle on the pavement waiting to cross the road, who have the right of way? The car? Cos the cyclist is on the pavement and is assuming the role of a pedestrian. But if the cyclist is on the road? Then we consider it as a vehicle and thus side road to main road we need to give way and wait for the cyclist to pass before turning out?

Now what if the cyclist was initially cycling on the pavement, then as he about the cross the road he cycle outwards to be on the road?

I have drive too long to see cyclist changing their role as long as it suits them.

Or cyclist cycling by your side as you both turn left into filter lane with a zebra crossing ahead...then just as they reach the zebra crossing, they become a pedestrian and suddenly turn right in front of you to use the zebra crossing to cycle across the road.

I always see they want to play the roles of bully victims.  I don't mind if they play role of patients. At least that would get them off the roads for a while.

i feel that LTA has not done anything or much to educate cyclist how to behave and protect themselves (and the driver). A cyclist never driven a car, do not know what driver can see and cannot see. All i see is LTA has a blanket rule... whenever a cyclist or pedestrian is hit by a car, the car driver is wrong... 😞

I encountered this... on a two-lanes up, two-lanes down, straight road, both sides has pedestrian pavement (parallel to the road, of course). when i was driving, a cyclist was on opposite side, cycling in same direction as me (but on pavement, opposite). There was a zebra crossing. i didn't expect, when the cycling reached the zebra crossing, he turned on his left onto the zebra crossing, in one stroke, without slowing down, i almost hit him. He assumed i know he wanted to cross zebra crossing and i will DEFINITELY stop at zebra crossing for him. As for me, it didn't cross my mind at all he may turn onto zebra crossing (of course, now i have learned and know).

Taxi turning onto a main road HAS to give way to any vehicle going straight.

If King Kong lorry I am sure the taxi would have stopped and no one will ask whose's fault.

However the cyclist is legally right but very stupid.

Firstly he ride at night should put on high visibility.

Second he should have got ready to stop as cars will 99% not give way.

Especially taxis, BM and PHVs.

Now he knows lah.

Some people will only ever learn the painful way.

We cannot stop drivers from being reckless at times,

But we certainly can safe guard ourselves especially when one is the more vulnerable.

It's who lying on the hospital bed that matters.

It is the "lopsided penalties" all this years that embolden other road users to behave in such arrogant manner, such a folly that when an accident occur technical penalties are meted out to drivers while the other road users usually take the blunt of physical injuries which can be lifelong.

Should mete out penalties to other road users and rub salt to their wounds.

Problem is for some of the road users, without stricter regulations such as license plates, etc (or anything innovative), hard to catch hold of such culprits.

The detection system is very good. The collision warning came on when I approached a small 750mm high 80mm φ flexible bollard near the car park gantry. It only failed to alert me when a dog owner let his small dog run in front of my car. It is a combination of camera and radar so blocking the sensors will not disrupt the system 😁

So u wanna try AEB without birdshit first, gain confidence then try one more time, faster speed, with birdshit?

Sounds like teambuilding exercise.

I tell you the standard of driving here is getting worse day by day.

Everyday the type of accident we see here is getting more ridiculous.
