Championship white. But always have birdshit one. You see championship white with alot of bird shit, that probably my car.

That's why I am so diligent on washing my car every saturday.

I wash, they poo, i wash, they poo. 👿

That's because birds like to poop on white cars.

I ordered a proper alcantara cover this time. My current cheapo suede alcantara look alike one is flaking everywhere. Dunno smelly or not look so disgusting.

Have been looking for alcantara but so difficult to find for my wheel size.

Hope to dress it on my steering wheel in one week's time 😁

Try google for Wheelskinz.

There may have it.

I didn't buy a COE car but i renewed  COE of my car, but the outcome is the same - a COE car. I spent about 2+k on a set of used rims with new tires. I wanted that rims because they are very easy to wash to compensate the amount of dust  generated by the brake pads.  Hard to find any rims that is easier to wash than this set 😅

I chance upon this post at Unusual or rare car thread and it strikes me why I never do a car with pop-up headlight! So here I am again giving it a try!

Car: 1980 Porsche 924

https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=904588

904588_2b.jpg

904588_3b.jpg

904588_4b.jpg

904588_1b.jpg

So. . . If I own this car and I were to spend $3,000 for mods. . .

New chrome Headlight Housing - $400

wj-c3037-a-pb_6.jpg

This will help to shoot more light at night for this old charm. Safety first!

HELLA HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE (HID) HEADLIGHTS 4300K - $80

H4_Platinum.jpg

Plastic Restorer - $16 & a bit of hardwork.

819iKWVebIL._AC_SX679_.jpg

The interior of the car just need a bit of restoring! This should works!

Fuel Filter - $30

image.thumb.png.53524a32ed9a2af6fc08cbfb8e3d0878.png

The owner has rebuilted the engine, but sometimes it might be overlooked the importance of a fuel filter.

A/C Compressor - $600

s-l500.jpg

I will just change out the compressor too. To ensure the "coolness" of this car have reached its optimum.

K&N Replacement Air Filter - $200

KN33-2079.png?20190806112205

I cannot find exhaust for this gem! So just to make the car noiser. I think K&N will helps!

Delios Brake Disc & Brembo Brake Pad - $900

delios_image11.jpg

I will try to keep this car as stock as possible, but safety cannot be compromised!

Hel Stainless Steel Brake Hose - $300

HEL_Brake_lines_7_1.jpg

Rigid Collar (From Spoon Sports) - $400

s-l400.jpg

This will greatly improve this old gem. Effectively filling the gaps and stopping any unwanted movement.

There you have it! Here's my mod's list for the pop-up headlight Porsche 924!

  • New chrome Headlight Housing - $400
  • HELLA HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE (HID) HEADLIGHTS 4300K - $80
  • Plastic Restorer - $16 & a bit of hardwork.
  • Fuel Filter - $30
  • A/C Compressor - $600
  • K&N Replacement Air Filter - $200
  • Delios Brake Disc & Brembo Brake Pad - $900
  • Hel Stainless Steel Brake Hose - $300
  • Rigid Collar (From Spoon Sports) - $400

Total : $2,926 😄

This is for you @keechiu 🙂

So here I am again sharing my $3K mods for Mitsubitshi Lancer EX this time!

935371_2b.jpg

935371_3b.jpg

935371_5b.jpg

935371_1b.jpg

I will upgrade the rims for this one.

ROTA_GRID_206.jpg?20200709030849

Rota Grid. 17 x 8 +35 - $1600-ish?

This car no needs a TE37, but still can't compromise on the wheels. Rota is a good brand at an affordable pricing. 🙂

17516030.jpg

Front Strut Bar - $100

To strengthen the front upper chassis and to minimize front chassis flex.

twyWLwqh1569911417-700x700.jpg&f=1&nofb=

BC Racing BC V1 Coilover. - $1,450.

This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil contained which in turn reduces the peak temperature and so significantly improves damper performance.

The Lancer EX have alot of potential for mods. But I think for the start, these are the ones I will really do for Lancer. Once you got the foundation (handling) right, you can upgrade the power and all.

  • Rota Grid - $1600
  • Front Strut Bar - $100
  • BC Racing BC V1 - $1,450

Total - $3,150.

Okay, slightly over budget. But I think it is all worth it. 🙂 Cheerios!
