Can Singapore Stock Exchange stop market for 3 months due of CB and to prevent market crash/drop? Answer is no because there're regulations and foreign investors will no longer favor Singapore if this case happen.

While LTA is acting unethical and being "dictatorship" to manipulate the motor market to avoid COE crash, did LTA forgot about what's the purpose of COE bidding system? A good read about how COE quota decided https://carro.sg/blog/coe-prices-change/

Motor traders have sent an appeal to the Government to allow vehicle sales to resume when the circuit breaker is lifted next month.

The 378-member Singapore Vehicle Traders Association sent the letter last Friday to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan, among others.

Even i read somewhere beauty and spa industry also request to resume business in Jun, if not most shop will closed down if drag another 1-2 months.

Not all country can. In UK & US, options are lumped into different packages.

Vehicle sales have been onging since Circuit Breaker was in place in April.

Check sgcarmart for the used cars that changed hands since April.

New cars have also seen brisk sales online.

The only issue is with the new cars whereby COE biding is halted. Obviously, there' a reason for this - you know, I know.  😁

   Buying car is non essential service, might as well tell this trade to close shop and claim relief funds . . . road is free,take BMW to work, most ppl take Bus for short distance and Train for urgency. Car can wait, save the environment emission pollution.

Sell car can be done virtual video sent to potential , SE so free now, thy can DIY virtual tour just like those car reviewer/ showmanship presenter, can be in bilingual lingo too, nothing is too difficult for car dealer. Help em already

Don't feel the authorities will let them start even online only sales of new cars (showroom close). 

their logic is flawed.  on one hand can buy/sell/register cars and on the other hand no coe bidding until showroom open.

And for 2nd hand cars, can buy/sell and deliver to buy by tow truck.

talk about sgcarmart used cars sales number, a few days back I noticed the measurement from no. of cars sold per 3 days to per 7 days.  Need to inflate the number.

And for new cars, recently got 2 sales messaging me every few days to persuade me to make fully refundable downpayment and said that the promo units are running out.  Brisk sales indeed
