I find the estate more appealing than sedan, and it does have some hints of the shooting brake element in the latest C-Class.

C&C has been trying to clear out the W205 since late 2020. 

Probably they are only left with limited units and colours

Blasphemy to compare a KIA to a C-Class for MB fans, I know. 

But it is what it is, the Germans don't always have the best creativity when it comes to styling 😆

True about the styling but as we can see from the evolution of the 911 since 1964, it is still largely the same design. The car is still a massive success now with the same design thereabouts. Commercial success is the only important factor I guess.

Not disputing that the Germans almost always have the brand cachet, translating into sales success. As for 911, not every generation was a widely acclaimed stylistic success. 996 got it quite bad, but luckily the follow ups from 997, 991 and now 992 are all looking good.

Coincidentally 996 has a major change in design direction from their traditional porsche headlamp, which could be a reason. Then again, the production volume is not materially lower.. 911 fans like their 911..
