@Gliazzurra Both colours are cool! They brought in dark beige, cognac brown and black interiors for the first batch. The 2 colours you shortlisted have black interior.

I managed to find a Santa Fe group in FB (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1323393001057242/?ref=share). It’s a private group. I’ve just joined, pending approval. 😂 I am thinking of adding a sidestep once I get the car.
Oh, by the way, Hyundai Singapore has just updated their website too. They’ve included the new Santa Fe details (https://hyundai.com.sg/vehicles/santa-fe-hybrid/design/).

@Mystidae  Unfortunately they assign interior color based on the exterior selected. I'm not exactly thrilled with the color combi but I guess will have to live with it.

Thanks for sharing the links, I had joined the FB page and pending approval too.

@Gliazzurra The first batch of Santa Fe has reached Singapore. Once cleared by LTA, I think Komoco will be launching it in September.

Nice, thanks for sharing

1. They give continental tyres? For once it's not Korean tyres

2. Brown interior looks best so far, pity the exterior colour paired not of my liking

3. The 360 cam like not very high resolution, but it's fine I guess

Your SE contact you for test drive already?

@Gliazzurra

Yes, they are giving Conti tyres. 19” ones. I prefer the cognac brown + black interior too.  Exterior can either be black, brown or glacier white if you choose this cognac brown interior. The infotainment system is a disappointment as they are not offering the larger 12” one.

As the cars have just touched down, they are still pending LTA approval. Hopefully it won’t be long.

@Klchua  Here you go.

I’ve asked my SE, they are still selling at $176999 and $185999 despite the COE jump. Can still enjoy early bird $2k discount. You may want to look for Carol at 9455 3033.

I will be going for a test drive on Sunday. Will update all on my thoughts then!

@Kennethoka

The price difference is between $20-30k, depending on specs. Another thing to note is that Santa Fe is actually in VES Band A2 ($15k rebate) while Tucson is in Band B. Quite weird as both technically have the same engine and transmission.

According to some reviews, Tucson’s drive is a little better compared to Santa Fe’s due to its size. But if you need the occasional 7-seater, then the latter is definitely the choice.

Not too sure about Tucson’s OMV but my SE told me Santa Fe’s is around $40k.

@Mystidae I believe the Santa Fe is hybrid. I think Tucson hybrid cost already $16xK also under ves A2. The price different is also $1xK with bigger size, HUD, more luxurious interior.

For the Tucson petrol engine, the omv is only $2Xk based on LTA website. Not sure about the hybrid.

So I still believe sante Fe more value for money as compare to Tucson.

I think Komoco treat Tucson as their 'cash cow' due to it look.

@Kennethoka Oh yes, I was looking at the 1.6T version. Hence, VES Band B.

It’s true that it’s more value for money if the difference between Tucson hybrid and Santa Fe hybrid is only $1xK. I’ll ask my SE what the OMV for Tucson hybrid is later today when I go for the test drive. Keep you posted!

@Gliazzurra The test drive was good. I particularly like the pick up of the car as the electric motor was usually activated before the 1.6t ICE when starting the car from stationary position. Tried on all 3 modes, Eco, Sport and Smart. For Sport, the ICE was perpetually activated, working in tandem with the electric motor. Speaking of the electric motor, something that I don’t really like was the sound made by the electric motor when on the move. It sounds a little like those BlueSG Mitsubishi cars. Volume is much softer though.

The ride is very comfortable as the cushions are thick and supple. Cabin is also very quiet on the road as the front windows are double laminated. Flaws on the roads were not very noticeable as the suspension feels soft. However, rolling is felt when doing u-turns at higher than normal speeds. Can’t really blame the car as it’s rather tall. Steering is very light, in my opinion. I like the light steering as it is very easy to turn the wheel but some may prefer a wheel with more feedback. I managed to try out the lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Works really well as the car is always kept to the centre of the lane. The steering will correct itself and give a loud beep if you try to change lane without signaling. 😂

Interior wise, the ventilated seats in front are great. 3 row is useable but best suited for children or petite adults. Definitely more spacious than my current X-Trail. The S/R is really long as it stretches beyond the second row. It’s really a pity that they did not bring in the 12”infotainment set as some of the car features/functions have to be done using the steering wheel instead of the screen.

I had wanted to pay the remaining deposit but my SE said no need yet as the car is still not officially launched. 😂

I saw another family testing the car before mine. Wonder if it’s any one of the bros here. 😂

@Mystidae nice, I test drove the Tucson hybrid a few weeks back, was told that Santa Fe hybrid would be quite similar just bigger car that's all. I didn't remember hearing electric motor sound then, in fact it's eerily quiet.

Yea agree the 12" screen would have been nice, pity they can't resolve the wireless carplay/android auto issue, according to YouTube reviews it's related to licensing issue. But still 8" screen is decent I guess.

Anyway, I think the FB group is no longer active, I had not been approved yet. You want to start a new group? Since you more or less confirmed getting the car already.. 😁
