t0y0ta Supercharged June 20, 2020 Share June 20, 2020 All cars in SG have sucks resale value. Buy High, sell high (Toyota) Buy Low, sell low (Skoda) Loss is not much different when you sell it early less than 10years. Skoda confirm will need more repairs and little issues down the road, thanks to its VW complexity reigns roots. If TS is type who will change car soon after warranty (3 yrs or 5 yrs), can just whack Skoda for conti feel. ↡ Advertisement
Hamburger Hypersonic June 20, 2020 Share June 20, 2020 Jap cars are traditionally less hassle. Not so in the new era. Go read in the Jap thread and not hard to see they have their fair share of issues.

Read about a < 6 months Lexus ES leaking from sunroof and another owner sharing about faulty air sensor and broken front door lock. Both cases might be isolated incidents, but it does made one question the notion of Japanese cars being hardy and reliable.

Xers007 Supercharged June 23, 2020 Share June 23, 2020 DCT/DSG are really not the smoothest at low speed, i dont know is it due to the traffic condition here or what, I have a DSG and now the DCT. Jerky on 1st gear, and shifting will go crazy at times on 2nd gear, loss power for that 2 secs dont know is it the turbo lag or the gear shifting. But F it cos i like its response. So be prepared for the DCT/DSG behaviour if getting a small turbo paring with them.

Jap and Korean cars has been in the spotlight during the covid19 supply chain saga so it’s not difficult to see where the parts are coming from and why the quality issue lies. but then again all iPhones are made in India n China now but you don’t see a huge problem in the phones .. other than the usual problem of iOS updates
