EASING RESTRICTIONS ON KEY LIFE EVENTS FROM 4 AUGUST 2020

Marriage solemnisations, wakes and funerals can be attended by more guests from Aug 4, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Thursday (July 30).

Since the beginning of*phase two in June 19,*marriage solemnisations have been allowed to take place with up to 20 people, excluding the solemniser.

But from Aug 4, this will be expanded to 50 people, including the couple getting married, said MOH

The new figure excludes the solemniser and vendor staff for the event.

Likewise, the number of guests allowed at wakes and funerals will be increased.

While up to 20 people may be present at any one time for wakes and funerals currently, up to 30 may be present from Aug 4.

MOH said that this would facilitate more family members and friends paying their last respects.

Both the changes in guest limits are subject to the event venues' capacity limits based on safe management principles.

They ownself pay. My colleague paying 2k sgd for his 2 weeks shn.

He only just managed to return from India cos he went to visit family before cb started. Only now managed to get flight back into sg.

Your colleague left Singapore after the travel advisory which was issued in Mid/End March, the advisory state that those (including Singaporeans) who travel after the travel advisory date will need to foot their own bills as they insist on traveling despite the advisory not to travel.

Singaporeans and PRs who travel before the advisory, the government will foot the bills.

Note: Travel advisory is out 2 to 3 weeks before CB.

I think masking and social distancing are really useful, even during the election. Appears to be under control unless there are clusters from places which do not require mask on, like restaurants and pubs. These are the gaps I'm more concerned with.

Masking .....yes. Social distancing .....i think this one fail in some places.

And yet, no outbreaks from that day, so it goes to show that the masking is most critical.

These imported cases are actually tracked and kinda contained because when they come in, they have to be quarantine and swabbed. The issue is if they are home quarantined, who is there or how good it was enforced to ensure they never leave their home. Some of these "FTs" have the sovereign thinking.

Actually they go out walk walk also who would know? Good thing we still enforce the mask-wearing rule. I feel this is the most critical move that's protecting us now.

now waiting for a Taiwanese To test positive overseas.

Sometimes people may still carry traces of old infections for a long time. That's the problem. Only know when they are tested.

Just like the most recent 4 community cases at bukit panjang transport hub. All the infections happened and over some time ago, and they only realize now that they are positive.
