Oh.... Meaning the 5 aside or 8 aside thingy cannot bluff anymore. 😅

If everyone carry their token or app.

If don’t have both, more questions might be asked

I blur like sotong atm

So with Singpass sign in can sign in ur kids on ur phone. TT can or cannot do the same? Must they all get the token? Why gahmen want to force us into using a stupid redundant piece of equipment... just to make their supplier ensure high sales? Do we know who owns this company and whether a public tender was called?

The app consumes power even when phone is off

Technically the phone has to be turned on. TT should work without data connection though. (the Safe Entry part needs data connection)

Today there are 12 import cases.

The remaining case (Case 58097) is a Short-Term Visit Pass holder who arrived from Egypt for his upcoming marriage to his Singaporean fiancée. They had all been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.

U can use the TraceTogether App or the Token.

SafeEntry just register your in/out that's it.

TraceTogether works by using Bluetooth signals to record other nearby TraceTogether devices. So it will be easier to trace the close contacts in a positive case. In terms of contact tracing, it's much better than the SafeEntry.

How do TraceTogether and SafeEntry work together? Is SafeEntry still required since there is TraceTogether?

TraceTogether helps MOH identify people who were in close proximity with COVID-19 cases during the infectious period, while SafeEntry helps COVID-19 cases remember the places that they've been to so that MOH can spot potential clusters. These two systems work together to increase the speed and accuracy of MOH's contact tracing efforts.

11.      Another prerequisite is to expand the deployment of TraceTogether-only SafeEntry, where visitors are required to check in to SafeEntry through either scanning the QR code using the TraceTogether App on your phone, or by presenting your TraceTogether Token to be scanned. This allows us to ensure that persons visiting places where people are likely to be in contact for prolonged periods, or where human traffic is high, have the TraceTogether App or Token. In this regard, we will progressively roll out TraceTogether-only SafeEntry to workplaces, schools, and more public venues, including cinemas, live performances, shopping malls, and F&B outlets.

Can. Switch from Singpass app to TT app. Done.

Can TT token replace both Singpass app and TT app?

If everyone is carrying a TT token, it will be very effective to contact trace. Hopefully, they can open up all entrance and exit points at all facilities across Singapore. Now very troublesome, big bloody mall with only 1 or 2 entrance point and many connecting points between buildings are closed off too (need to get out of one building to enter another via main entrance).

the token can do both.

the safe entry at every building is to keep track and limit number of people as much as possible, if safe entry scan can stop some people mean lesser people in the building.

I haven't seen how they do it yet, but I believe "Safe Entry" access by TT token will require the business to physically scan the QR code printed on your personal TT token.

If these scans are available at all TT mandatory locations, then yes, it'll work there.

"Safe Entry only" locations may not support TT token only, unless the business sets up a scanner there as well.

A business can scan your TT token QR code using a special Safe Entry (Business) check-in app on their own phone.

(all as far as I understand it)

Won't happen. They'll still require physical access control.

I would say, Safe Entry adds a lot of work and overhead, for both users & businesses, with millions of check-ins/outs every day, in order to document and trace a tiny handful of potential secondary infections...let's hope it pays off.

TT on the other hand, as a "passive" methodology, takes much less effort for the end users, and works silently 24/7, everywhere. More targeted towards tracing infections too, as it's proximity based.

I'd hoped they'd scrap Safe Entry completely & replace 100% with TT (you'd then only need to show your TT token or app at access points), but I suppose each have their uses.

Safe Entry isn't realtime though - it can't "deny" or regulate check-ins.

They do review the check-in logs afterwards though & audits against the stated limits, which the business sets itself.

This creates its own administrative hassle - we got flagged a couple of times because no one had actually gone into the office for a period, which didn't "match" the low limit (2 people) we'd set as the max number of people potentially going.

Actually why can't each shop then have it's own unique token  like the QR code for entry?  Then just show your token and you can walk in.  After all, the shop token will be like your token.  Blue tooth function and it can record everyone who passes by with the token.

Save a lot of time scanning in and out also.

I tried using TT today. Don't have option to sign multiple ppl in. So that means children must get token?
