Logistics is another headache

Yes, to vaccinate so many will take time while the global economy tanks further. With US and Europe heading towards lockdown and China reporting an unlinked case in SHA yesterday, things will pretty interesting in the next 6 months.

Pfizer good news. But Sinovac not very good news.  🙄

Brazil suspends trials of China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine due to 'adverse' effect

The Brazilian regulator, Anvisa, said in a statement it had "ruled to interrupt the clinical trial of the CoronaVac vaccine after a serious adverse incident" on Oct 29.

It said it could not give details on what happened because of privacy regulations, but that such incidents included death, potentially fatal side effects, serious disability, hospitalisation, birth defects and other "clinically significant events".

"With more activities resuming, community cases may rise “perhaps to the low teens, maybe even to the 20s, or upwards in the 30s”, said Mr Wong.

We have to be mentally prepared for that and be ready to ensure that even if the local cases in the community were to rise, they do not form large clusters that are out of control."

Now that we've gotten used to near-zero daily cases for a while (close to local "elimination" of chains of infection), I'm pretty sure people will NOT accept a return to 20-30 community cases/day... - either you go for virtual elimination or you don't. China, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, NZ did it.

If we don't, we can also kiss any future travel bubbles w/select nations goodbye.

This is trivial.

Heard over radio that this covid event accelerated IT literacy single handedly by 5 years. Really powerful. Better than any government push or campaign haha.
