yup. japan excel in many areas just that the close to heart like car, phone, kpop and home equipment and appliance we tend to see more Samsung and LG ... hehe

The South Koreans are good in applied research (possibly) but basic research are more important.  Hence people talking about the demise of US technology leads are just talking nonsense.   Japan vs South Korean, it is not even close.

Boleh will overtake us in less than 2 weeks time.

With this high number on their community,  I am wondering how safe are those daily in and out lorry driver to Singapore.

Virtually all countries get a continued stream of imported cases.

We can start caring less about those when the vaccine is finally rolled out to our entire local population.

But imported cases will likely never stop completely - in a couple of years, CV-19 will probably settle into an endemic stage. (like colds, H1N1, flu etc)

I do not condom such irresponsible actions lor.....

Videos of a group of at least six women and a man were uploaded on social media on Sunday, when they allegedly held a party to celebrate the 33rd week of pregnancy of one of the women.

Some of the women had uploaded several videos on Instagram, showing themselves play-fighting with pillows and clothes on beds.

Can Covid-19 spread through frozen food or food packaging?

Quote

Q: Should I be worried about contracting the Covid-19 virus through frozen food or food packaging?

A: The World Health Organisation (WHO) has said it is unlikely for people to contract Covid-19 from food or food packaging, and that transmission via contaminated food is not a major infection route.

Likewise, the Singapore Food Agency posted on its website that it is "not aware of any evidence" suggesting that the virus can be transmitted to people via food or food packaging and equipment.

However, it added that contact with these items is "no different" from contact with common surfaces such as lift buttons and door knobs, which could be easily contaminated with the virus. The risk of possible transmission through these surfaces remains low. Still, it is important to maintain good personal hygiene.

20 clowns hoot bbq

The wife of the nail salon celebrated her birthday. There were 5 tables outside the shop for a barbecue party. At one time, as many as 20 people gathered and were reported by nearby residents. The police launched an investigation on 16 men and women.

"Xin Ming Daily" received a call from the enthusiastic reader Mr. Liu (53 years old, cleaning industry) to the "Xin Ming Daily" 24-hour hotline, referring to the nail shop downstairs in Block 416, Bedok North 2nd Road, yesterday ( 17) Around 6 o'clock in the evening, four or five tables were set up, and many people gathered to drink, smoke, and even barbecue.

He complained that more and more people came afterwards, with about 20 people huddled together. It is believed that there were more than 5 people sitting at a table and a safe distance was not maintained.

"They were also very noisy during the meal. At 8:30 in the evening, two police officers suddenly appeared and everyone present was frightened."

He said that these people accepted the police's questioning, and after havingtily packed their tables and chairs, they left.

When a reporter from Xinming Daily arrived at the scene at about 9 pm last night, the tables and chairs had been put away, but there were still many unboiled ingredients and various foods. An uncle stood by but kept silent.

From the photos provided by the readers, it can be seen that the five tables are full of food and wine bottles, the stone chairs are also full of ingredients and a barbecue grill, and someone is grilling food.

During the interview, Mr. Xiao (49), the owner of the nail salon, said that in order to celebrate the birthday of his Vietnamese wife, he would specially prepare Vietnamese delicacies and barbecue food, and arrange tables and chairs for his wife’s hometown and friends to come and celebrate.

Police investigating 16 men and women

When questioned, the police confirmed that 10 local men, two local women and four Vietnamese women aged between 29 and 64 were accused of gathering in a public place with several tables and temporary barbecue grills.

These people were asked to abide by the safety distance measures before leaving. The police are investigating them under the Coronavirus 19 (Interim Measures) (Control Order) regulations.
