Well, i guess i am one of the rare one still living in CB period. Going out only for essentials items. WFH, seldom dine out and take away food or do home cooking most of the time. Most of the time just stay at home.

If look at shopping mall and public transport can see most people already back to pre-pandemic period!

Unlike you, I had been going out more post-CB. Crowd then was much much lesser.

Lately, reduced dining out with recent crowding

Things starting to move very fast on the vaccine front. First UK approvals likely coming within a week, US dec 10th, EU dec 29th - even SG may get first approvals in dec.

Hopefully we can start to put all this soul sucking CV-19 crap behind us end of 2021.

Most Americans could get Covid-19 vaccines by Q2 next year, leading to herd immunity by fall: Fauci

Good for you, you are very safe since you are still able to live in CB period. Guess not all people able to choose or continue to live in CB period now, since most activities already resumed.

Myself and family is the same, go out only when necessary and I head to the office once a week with the company on WFH still as default until at least CNY.

We are eating out less than pre-CB period but still going out more, to keep our sanity and get a little exercise by walking out'n'about. It is more the hassle of getting into and out of places, especially malls, that make trips more a chore and I believe since kids, nobody likes doing chores.

3 Mosques visited by Covid-19 positive patients closed for cleaning and disinfection on Wednesday

They are: Ahmad Mosque in Pasir Panjang, Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim Mosque in Harbourfront and En-Naeem Mosque in Hougang.

Bookings for congregational prayer at the mosques will be voided, said the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) in a statement on Facebook.

"The affected mosques are undergoing thorough cleaning and disinfection, with tentative reopening on Thursday, Dec 3, pending inspection and confirmation from the relevant agencies," added Muis.

The religious council added that the Ministry of Health is actively conducting contact tracing, and all congregants who have been identified as close contacts of the individuals who tested positive will be contacted for "necessary follow-up action".

"This is also a timely reminder of the importance of using TraceTogether when visiting the mosques, so that anyone who has had possible exposure to an infected person can be identified and reached quickly," said Muis.

Means more community cases to be reported?

The decision to approve vaccine use is via political decision rather than Philippine FDA process? Will this happen in SG too?

"Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte issued an executive order on Wednesday (Dec 2) granting the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the power to clear COVID-19 drugs and vaccine for emergency use."

Japan residents to get free COVID-19 vaccine

Quote

TOKYO: Japan will give free COVID-19 vaccines to all of its residents under a Bill passed on Wednesday (Dec 2), as the nation battles record numbers of daily cases.

The Bill, which says the government will cover all vaccine costs for Japan's 126 million residents, was approved by the upper house of parliament, having cleared the powerful lower house.

HK and Japan free for citizens.

Australia as well.

In fact, looks like most developed countries intends to make it free... - I''d be very surprised if we don't do the same.

Oddly though, we still need to pay for CV-19 tests?!

how about us ?

We got medisave. 🙂

They will say they use our medisave to offset the vaccine for each resident. this is to help to save the citizens from forking out any additional cost for the vaccine.

EP/SP/Work permit and migrant worker get free and they will be the first to have the vaccine, so they can resume work as normal.
