Guess what,

Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire will go back into a Stage 3 lockdown from MIDNIGHT TOMORROW, for 6 WEEKS. You must stay at home, work from home and Prep-10 students will have an extra week at home

There goes the "travel bubble" planned with NZ.

What to do, AMDK hard to control. Straightaway mask off and no distancing. Socializing with alcohol (not sanitizer) in hand is a must for them, look what happen in UK, very hard to control sober people, drunks even more difficult.

Although in SG we see some laxness in phase 2, but overall in comparison, still more disciplined.

Living at the same residence day in day out, high chance. Touching same surfaces etc. Family members?

So far some students tested positive but their classmates and teachers are in the clear. And we know despite safety measures, students do mix around outside of formal classroom time. Close contact but not so bad and boh tai chee.

I believe it's people who you've spent 30 mins in close (1-2m) proximity to.

Colleagues, meetings, family members, hair dresser, airplane/bus/car/train passengers etc.

Workplace infections have risen?! But thought there are still many people still continue WFH, esp those office job? Lol. But i also notice there are more people go back to work, dont know if these people are going to office everyday or only go back to office once a while?

If they want to stop the workplace infections, then they should have step up on their spot checks on more companies. If not most bosses would ask their employees to go back to work.

Where are these workplaces that LW mentioned? He should highlight these companies. I only see one semiconductor company on the list so far and one cluster traced to it.

Not sure whether how many in the workforce have gone back to work in office as per normal. Because from my own observation, driving through city centre during lunchtime, the roads are still noticeably less congested. I would've thought that a significant number of people (or to be more accurate, drivers) still practising WFH.

Indeed they should mention where are these workplace, so that companies would know if there are doing the wrong thing? Even though  Cbd area still havent go back to crowded office workers before covid, but can still see that there are more people go back to office in cbd area now.

There are also some transmissions happening at workplaces, especially in settings that are at the frontline of COVID-19 operations.

Notably, about half of community unlinked cases have been from the construction sector or construction-related occupations such as building trades workers and electrical instrument fitters. Serology testing has found that about two-thirds of these construction-related cases are likely to be past infections that are unlikely to be currently infectious, which could have been transmissions from earlier construction or migrant worker clusters. This shows that the construction sector continues to be a higher risk setting for transmission, as the nature of work can make it more challenging to maintain strict safe management and distancing measures.

Seems like typical office workers aren't a primary infection vector. (many of those are still WFH too)
