Just got back. 50 minutes.

Infection control is fail.

Gong gong security with 6 letter word on his baseball cap touch people, touch his face shield, touch his sidearm, handle polling card handed to him by public. OC shun then he stand senang diri. Only doofus that had SO much interaction that he became a fomite. Other officers not clowning around like him.

Chairs, another fomite. Nope i did not sit on them.

Polling officers congregating and yakking away.

I think every polling centre got a few clowns that do not realize that COVID is still around and can KILL.

Its not the system, its the operators that make voting unsafe. Just one cockanamie six letter word cap wearer can spread COVID among the station and his home office.  He must be a inferior officer, not aware other specialists could be in the area. Gong gong.

Most of the officers were conscientious and polite. Probably an advisory should be sent out especially to errant six letter cap wearers.

Egregious fail.

Then a motorbike beng looks got lup, on the void deck, wonder who did that?

Then a siginna riding his scooter all up on the pavement and to carpark road, zipping happily away, looking for that thrill.

Here comes the cake, i spied an upset father pushing a pram with a young un and two running rascals beedeo taping the scooter siginna. He left his young un in the pram and chased after the scooter siginna. That got me worried as they left line of sight, luckily the upset father walked back with the two ambulatory rascals.

Some people must protest like that Siginna.

Haiz.

My number also swee, four digit one hah. Add together is b. Hahaha.

Reading your post with my Rosetta stoned (sic) tinted glasses, the situation is indeed every bit as bad as I anticipated.

They could easily have postponed this exercise in futility or come up with an alternative and much safer electronic means of doing it. But we all know why they didn't opt for the former and we can only surmise as to why they didn't explore the latter.

Rules to follow:

1) minimise time spent in the station or in Q as far as possible.

2) try not to touch anything. Bring copious amounts of hand sanitiser.

3) don't feel compelled to immediately follow any direction by an "officer" if you judge it's unsafe. They'll probably want everyone to lower their mask for ID. I'll be taking my time, stepping back, disinfecting my hands and only then lowering my mask with at least a metre's space. And it will be back up quickly.

4) bring your own pen. Don't touch anything. Don't sit down.

Stay safe above all else. It's not worth contracting a life-threatening illness to stroke some people's egos.

I think no body follow the provided time slot.

Wife need to work from 11am, reach polling station at 10am and is very long queue. Now still in the queue.

Guess really no one follow the allocated time slot, most of the time people like to crowd the polling station between 8am to12pm. The number of people at my polling station seems like no go down, always 40-60 range?

Best also wear your own disposable gloves.

Gloves are more trouble than they're worth, frankly. I believe they are more effective fomites than bare skin. You'll still need to touch your own pen with the glove unless you intend to discard it after one use (or are planning to use theirs, which I don't recommend). And de-gloving has a high risk of transfer of virus onto your skin if done inexpertly.

Gloves are also not perfect barriers. They often have microtears that allow infectious particles, even as big as bacteria, to penetrate through to your skin. Viruses can much more easily pass through these.

Proper hand disinfection is best. And keep your nails short to prevent dirt from being trapped there.

Can you choose not to wear any disposable gloves?

Can still vote if you cant stick to timing.

Better still if you are accompanying a family member who is of priority.

Quote

"Family members voting at the same polling station may accompany the senior voter to vote,"

"However, only one accompanying family member will be accorded priority voting, along with the senior voter."

It seems like they have place a box of gloves on the table, and you need to take it before proceeding to cast your vote. Thats why i suggest to bring your own gloves, to minimise contact with the items at the polling station.

Last time I always go in the afternoon, no queue.

This time no choice.

If you bring your own, there's nothing stopping them from forcing you to still wear theirs. If this is the game they're playing, I'll wear theirs over mine. Sigh.

KNN I am aware of models lah. But didn't think you'd choose F12, SF90 etc. Might as well choose 70, 71 etc for the F1 cars. 😂
