All new 2021 Kia Carnival / Sedona GUV

2024 facelift unveiled. 

The headlights and taillights have been fully redesigned and have a similar layout resembling the letter "T."

Front bumper has a cleaner design after getting rid of the separate fog lights. At the back, Kia has moved the indentation for the license plate lower on the tailgate.

Interior images have yet to be revealed but reports from Korea indicate it'll get a curved screens and fingerprint recognition tech. 

The big news is that the facelift Carnival will finally get a hybrid powertrain with a turbocharged 1.6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor for an electrified setup inherited from the Sorento. This mean that annual road will be reduced by close to 2/3 (from $2,052 to $742) as compared to the 2.2L variant previously carried by C&C.

Wonder how long it takes before it reaches Singapore? 1 year from first release in Korea?

seems like same engine as the current/upcoming facelifted sorento but with a heavier weight. Wonder will it be underpowered.

 

anyone got any idea if it will be displayed in the upcoming motor show next month ?

@thebestbees the last i asked, was told Q4 next year. not sure if they going bring it in earlier.

@iceraider damn, was looking forward to seeing it in real life, expecting it to be at least 330k-360k based on today’s COE since previous generation was around 290-300k already.

 

seems like kia will be selling a lot of “ premium models “ next year with the EV9 ( I suppose at least 400k “ and sorento at least 250k-280k

@13177 EV ma, anything that is EV there’s a premium of 10-20% at least over its ICE variant. Somemore EV9 is a new platform so someone gotta pay for the r&d into it
