Something many may not understand. A huge percentage of singaporeans directly or indirectly work for or with American/ western firms. Singapore is rolling out its 5g network. What equipment is gonna be used? If America.. and possibly other western nations.. decide that sensitive information cannot be sent on Huawei infra.. what then? They may not be able/willing to tell Singapore etc what equipment to use.. but they sure as hell can even legislate their companies to avoid business with "high risk" areas.
