Bridgestone Potenza S005 (OEM)... Currently 13k....look like still some way to go before hitting the treadwear indicator bar. But seem like the shallow thin grooves will be gone before that happen. Amy opinion? 20220521_080406.thumb.jpg.5b23bdf4e20aa358839910f0babac904.jpg

For comparison to brand new bridgestone-potenza-s005-treadzoom.jpg.87953c918d1f6ee8d22e29e69f0d7946.jpg......seem like I already lost a few sipes

Twincharged

I think the the main water dispersion would the the 4 main grooves.
sipes as you mention, I guessing it’s more for noise.

One thing I don't understand is why some tyre manufacturers have these 2 types of indicator...why not of the same, either aligned or random instead of both?

I had this question too

I remember last time I read somewhere, one set is for summer the other set is for winter

if you see carefully, the two sets of TWI are different in height

Looked closer at my front tyre wear...

Had been running on 2.6bar all round for the last 10k or so for my factory OEM set of tyres. 235/35R19 non-staggered.

This is my factory recommended pressure chart.... 2.8bar for the front and 2.3bar for the rear....

But seem like even at 2.6bar, it seem like over-inflated tread wear. Anyone else agree? Just adjusted the pressure to 2.5 front and 2.3 rear to monitor. Definitely more comfy for a start.

Looks quite balanced. Cannot really tell the minute difference. Maybe get a digital tire depth gauge? Cheap cheap to satisfy the anal! 😂

take note. Even when brand new the depth of the thread is not equal in all the channels. At least from how I measured. Maybe the curvature at the sides affects? Dunno.

2.8 n 2.3? Is your a V8? Front is heavy to warrant higher psi on the front?

Wear wise look even to me...

Lol, a 4 potter.... Not sure why also. My previous cars' factory recommended pressure mostly front rear balanced unless heavy load where the rear will have higher pressure.

Same qn for me too. Do u think one is to tell us to rotate the tyres cos they seem to be of different heights?
