Rising sea levels amid global warming, how to handle that?

Every scientist will say sea level is rising and floody weather is coming.

Since energy is cheap and labor is abundant and automation is in sight, if one hire the jobless people to build dikes and reclaim land like the Dutch do, will that solve the mass employment problems now and make a profit?

Thinking about that moving 10 tons of sand from by river or sea for 1000km costs $1000 but selling 1 sqm of land would yield $10000 in any asian cities, looks like a sound business.

What do you people think?

I am moving to Tibet. I saw the movie 2012. Tibet is the safest place when it comes to flooding. They have the secret Ark project too!

But that's exactly is where my sand would come from.

I am going to re-watch Kelvin Costner's Waterworld and take notes this time.  😂

Time to buy a sailboat and watch SV Delos.

5,000 years  is a long time, mankind  would have rebounded many many times by then, no point over worrying. It is sad for sure to know that day will happen.

Meantime, do whatever we could to help delay the effect until better solutions are found, for example,  use lesser plastic, reduce waste, recycle as much as we could. That's all I know I could do.

Get this house. You don't even need a sampan!  Just sail the house along.

Need to consider the maintenance of the underside of the hull. Need to keep scrapping off the marine growth.

If there is a generator onboard, then you will keep feeling the generator vibration.

Also the sea breeze will bring about corrosion if no constant upkeep of the windows, railings, furniture and exterior faces.

Pack two pieces of very big aluminum foil and blast it into space.

Unwrap the aluminium foil over the North Pole and South Pole

and use it as an umbrella to cover the Poles so less sun gets to it.

Less sun means more cold, less melting of the Pole ice caps, lower oceans.

Have small pin pricks in the foil so some sunshine gets to the Poles for light.

See the shade provided by the parasol? Same principle for the Polar ice caps.

The further away the bigger the shade, if want a smaller shade move the foil closer to Earth.

Rising sea levels amid global warming problem solved.

with these space umbrellas. The panels can generate electricity

to power itself to move with the Poles and open and close

to provide more shade or less shade. If need put a few for

a bigger shade.

Before the need for an expensive sea wall, better sow mangrove seeds now

let them grow for 20 years with little cost

20 years later no need pay so much for sea wall
